Add a new Listing

Easy Steps to Add Your Artwork to the Artcarme Catalog

Important Tips for Uploading Art Listings
When adding new artwork to our catalog, make sure to follow these simple guidelines for the best results:

  1. First Image Matters:
The first image you upload will be the one featured in our gallery. Choose your best photograph!

  2. Provide Context:
Add images that showcase your artwork in a realistic setting. For example, place the artwork in a living room to help buyers visualize its size and impact.

  3. Utilize canvy.com:
Use Canvy to create realistic “in situ” images that show your artwork in context.

  4. Highlight Key Features:
Add photos showing the side of the painting and any significant details that stand out in your artwork.

  5. Tell Your Story:
Buyers love stories as much as the artwork itself. Share the inspiration behind your piece and what makes it unique.

Step-by-Step Guide to Adding Listings Properly

  1. Access Your Dashboard:
Once logged in, go to your dashboard and click on the “Add a New Listing” button.

  2. Fill Out the Form:
You’ll be asked to fill in the following details:

    • Category:
What medium does your artwork use? Is it acrylic, watercolor, pencil, photograph, etc.?

    • Tags:
Add relevant keywords that describe your artwork. Think about terms potential buyers might search for. Include thematic colors, subjects, or other elements like flowers, trees, clouds, or birds.

    • Title:
Enter the title of your artwork in title case (capitalize major words).

    • Description:
This is your opportunity to share the essence of your artwork. Talk about the materials, colors, subjects, and story behind the piece. If the artwork is framed, mention the size and framing details. The more detailed and compelling your description, the more likely your artwork will catch the eye of buyers.

    • Material:
Specify whether your artwork is on canvas, paper, board, or another medium. For sculptures, mention whether it’s made of ceramic, bronze, glass, etc.

    • Dimensions:
Include the exact dimensions (width, height, and depth) in both inches and centimeters. For example:
      W 15.94″ x H 19.88″ x D 2.25″
      W 40.50 cm x H 50.50 cm x D 5.7 cm

    • Style:
Choose the most accurate style description for your artwork (e.g., abstract, realistic, surreal, expressionistic).

    • Subject:
Select the subject that best matches your artwork from our list of popular categories.

    • Framed:
Is the artwork already framed, or is it sold unframed?

    • Notes:
Leave any internal notes about the listing that you wish (this will not be visible to customers).

    • Price:
Set the price at which your artwork is available for sale. Remember that our commission will be deducted, and ensure you include any shipping or packing charges for UK deliveries.

    • Original Price:
If you’ve previously sold the artwork at a higher price, list the original price with a strikethrough so buyers can see the discount (e.g., £100 £150).

    • Quantity Available:
Enter the number of items available. For one-of-a-kind pieces, select “1.” Once sold, change the quantity to “0” to disable the “Buy Now” button.

    • Image:
Upload images that accurately represent your artwork. Make sure each image is under 15MB, and the dimensions should not exceed 2000 pixels on the longest side. See our photography tips for guidance.
